primehammer team-building in Slovakia: a weekend of hiking, relaxation, and natural beauty

When it comes to fostering team spirit and building stronger bonds, few activities are as effective as a well-planned team-building trip. This August, a big primehammer group set out on a memorable journey to the mountains of Slovakia, a fitting choice given the number of Slovaks on the team. This trip, which took the team to altitudes as high as 2000 meters, provided the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation.

Friday: the road to the team-building

The adventure kicked off in Brno, where the team boarded an old bus driven by one of our engineers — a nostalgic touch that added character to the journey. Meanwhile, the Slovak team members opted for the comfort of their cars. Unfortunately, some of the newer engineers from Latin America, like Argentina, couldn’t join as the trip had been planned before they were hired.

Upon arrival in Slovakia, the team settled into a cozy hotel nestled in the scenic mountains. The accommodations boasted comfortable amenities, including a jacuzzi and sauna, which provided the perfect way to unwind after the journey. The evening was spent chilling out and laying out plans for the next day’s hike, with everyone excited about the adventures that awaited them.

Saturday: a day of hiking and natural beauty

Saturday was the trip’s highlight, with the team setting out on a morning hike through the stunning Slovak mountains. The goal: to reach the highest peaks of Low Tatras – Chopok and Ďumbier. Participants could choose between different paths, with the longest one covering a distance of 19 kilometers. Some team members opted for longer routes, allowing them to take in even more of Slovakia’s breathtaking landscapes.

The weather was perfect, with a comfortable temperature of 22 degrees, making the hike both enjoyable and invigorating. After the hike, some team members decided to cool off with a refreshing swim in a nearby lake, fully immersing themselves in the natural beauty of Slovakia.

Evening relaxation: BBQ and relax

As the sun set, the team gathered for barbeque and a relaxing evening. Nonetheless, it was a delicious and satisfying way to conclude a day filled with physical activity and exploration. The evening also offered another chance to relax in the jacuzzi and sauna, providing the perfect end to a rewarding day.

Sunday: the journey back

Sunday marked the end of this unforgettable team-building experience. The team embarked on their journey back to Brno, arriving in the evening with memories of a weekend well spent. The trip not only strengthened bonds within the team but also provided a refreshing break from the routine, leaving everyone feeling rejuvenated and even closer than before.

Mission accomplished: we conquered the heights of the Low Tatras – Chopok and Ďumbier!

This trip confirmed a common stereotype: while Czech towns are known for their charm, Slovakia’s natural beauty is simply unparalleled, from the towering mountains to the tranquil lakes. It also reminded us of the amazing team we have built and gave us an amazing chance to strengthen and appreciate our bonds. We are a lucky bunch!
